Nepal Telecom (NTC) Launches 3G Service

Nepal Telecom, the largest Telecommunication Company and ISP in Nepal, has recently launched 3G service for its customers. With this service the customer can do video calling and surf high speed internet on mobile handsets. But for this purpose you need special mobile handset with 3G feature on it, which will be relatively expensive than other handsets found on market. An average mobile with 3G capability costs about Nrs.16000.
This service is available to both Prepaid with Namaste Sim Cards and Postpaid with NTC Sim Cards, but only for Kathmanduties. The data plan for video calling is five rupees per minute on Prepaid and four rupees per minute on Postpaid. And for internet it will be 0.5 rupees for 100KBs of download.
