A 20 year old business student, Reza Sardeha has created the first Islamic search engine
called imhalal.com. The unique thing about the search engine is that it only allows ‘halal’
contents to get searched. "Halal" are allowed things and "haram" are non-allowed things
in Islam.
The Imhalal search engine not only blocks the haram content but also rate it on a scale of
1 to 3. If a search item gets a haram rating of 1 or 2, it can still be searched after a warning
message. But any item, which gets a 3 rating, could not be searched further.
Protecting child online is difficult thing. You cannot always with be them. In your absence,
children often come across explicit stuff unintentionally and unknowing. So, this search
engine is will be equally useful tool for non-Muslims too.
